Every year we get donations from our wonderful community that we use to create and fill Hero Boxes that we send to our deployed military.  We do this 6 times a year.  We send Halloween, Christmas, Valentine’s Day, Easter and Girl Scout Cookie boxes.  Just last year (2025) we started sending summer boxes.  We fill these boxes with all kinds of goodies and fun holiday themed toys.  Many local students write thank you cards that we add to the boxes as well. On average we send about 175 boxes each mailing with Christmas being one of our bigger mailings.  We typically send 1,100 boxes a year. It is such a pleasure to help our deployed folks know that they are remembered and loved back here in the states.  Some of these deployed men and women we know, but most are names we get from parents wanting something special sent to their child.  It is very heartwarming.
